The TAGITM 38th Annual Education Conference will held May 3-6, 2016 at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. The TAGITM Conference provides technology education specific to county and city IT Managers and staff. If you are in charge of the technical strategic direction for your county or city or are involved in making technology decisions and recommendations for your municipality, you will want to attend!

The TAGITM Conference Committee delivers an outstanding program. Over 35+ years of leadership, insight and innovation go into the planning of this conference. The conference provides excellent education sessions, opportunities to explore the exhibit hall to learn about new cutting edge technologies and services from some of the industry’s leading providers, and networking with  business partners from across the state.

TAGITM is excited to welcome our opening keynote speaker for the 2016 conference Captain Mike Abrashoff, Bestselling Author of “It’s Your Ship”. The story of Captain Abrashoff and his command of USS Benfold have become legendary inside and outside the Navy for his vital leadership lessons that helped transformed his ship.

TAGITM Community Service Project

In an effort to support the local charities in our conference cities, TAGITM is bringing back the community service project for the 2016 conference.  This year's charity is the San Antonio Food Bank who provides food and grocery products to more than 500 partner agencies in 16 counties throughout Southwest Texas. In FY2013, the San Antonio Food Bank provided nearly 50 million pounds of food. The mission of the SAFB is to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy.

TAGITM is hosting a virtual food drive to help support the community service project.  Our goal is to raise $1000 during this year's conference.  For every $1 raised, the San Antonio Food Bank can provide seven meals for children, families, and seniors in need of emergency food assistance throughout our 16 county service territory so every little bit helps!  Please log on to the virtual grocery store and donate today!

TAGITM is also hosting an alternate activity volunteer shift at the food bank on Tuesday, May 3 from 9-11:30 am. for up to 20 conference attendees. Click HERE for more information and to sign up!
